Average review score:

A Thorough Review...An execellent reference both for those interested in the history of harness racing and those dealing everyday with the geneology of present day trotters and pacers. The introductory material is well-organized, cogent and "reads" well. The documentation is complete and well-presented. Layout works well for research purposes.

Published in Hardcover by Courage Books (August, 1991)
Average review score:

GREATThis book is a good book when you are all alone on a rainy night, or just want a chill. The stories are excellent and not gross and bloody like most scary stories now days. Although I do think it is chilling the pictures are so wonderful. They tell the story itself. I think this is a book I will read again and again

MRI of the Brain I
Published in Hardcover by Lippincott Williams & Wilkins Publishers (15 January, 2001)
Average review score:

An exciting way to learn MR imaging of the brainThis is an excellent collection of high quality MR images of the brain, each accompanied by a brief clinical history, radiologist's findings, a discussion, and a list of suggested reading. The 100 topics cover a vast area of clinical neurology, from common disorders to the uncommon and the rare. The presentation in the form of a teaching file gives the reader the opportunity to study the cases in an interactive way. As a practicing neurologist, I found going through the pages of this book an enjoyable, and of course, a profitable experience. I have no doubt that all those interested in clinical neurology, from undergraduates and postgraduates to practicing clinicians will find this book an exciting way to learn MR imaging of the brain and sharpen their clinical acumen.

MS Learning Edition CD-ROM Visual Basic 5.0
Published in CD-ROM by McGraw-Hill/Irwin (July, 1999)
Average review score:

Great Visual Basic Programming BookWhen I was trying to learn some Visual Basic programming, I did not know which book to get. So my friend recommended this to me, and I LOVE It. Every single step is accompanied by a figure, so you know exactly the interface you get when you select or click an item. There are only 14 chapters, and yet it's comprehensive. From program flow to database accessing to graphics, you name it, you got it. One thing I like the most is the hand-on programming examples at the end of each chapter and the solution is provided. And if you are looking for more chanllenge, there is case study (only hints are provided) that can help you better understand the material. So now I keep one handy and whenever my friend need some introduction to visual basic, this is the one I always recommend.

It even includes "how to"'s on multivariable applications using the TI-92. These authors really know how to teach.

New Perspectives on Advaita Vedanta: Essays in Commemoration of Professor Richard De Smet, S.J (Numen Book Series: Studies in the History of Religions, Volume 85)
Published in Hardcover by Brill Academic Publishers (May, 2000)

He knows his stuff!Bradley J. Malkovsky is my professor at the University of Notre Dame, and if this book exemplifies partially some of the ideologies and thought-provoking concepts that he presents in his lectures, then it is a great work indeed! His insight on the Christian-Hindu relationship is eye-opening, triggers the gears of thought, and develops a strong thirst for future studies in search for the "Truth"...
